JOB DESCRIPTION

Exceptional Direct Hire opportunity with an expanding law firm located inside the 610 loop. Our client offers exceptional benefits, extensive available overtime, growth potential and a dynamic work atmosphere.

The objective of this role is to ensure the timely and orderly preparation of documents and filings for client functions, attend and prepare for executive meetings, and to assist with orders, resolutions, and correspondence.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Compensation: $55,000 to $75,000

*There is paid overtime associated with this position.

Responsibilities

Drafting agendas for Board meetings in accordance with company handbook
Drafting documents for Board meetings for attorney review
Attending Board meetings and drafting minutes of the Board meetings
Organizing and processing documents following Board meetings
Sorting and routing mail
Working on annexations and creation of Districts
Organizing documents for filing
Maintaining meeting file, agenda calendars and ProLaw custom tabs
Preparing Real Estate Projects Submission Form for easements and land conveyance
Working on elections
Responding to (or coordinating responses from other consultants regarding) inquiries from residents, consultants, government agencies
Drafting, preparing for execution, and processing all Orders and Resolutions
Processing and completing required government filings on related projects
Processing documents pursuant to Reference Library
Working on bond sales pursuant to task list in the Reference Library
Following up on pending projects/documents
Reporting hours worked on an accurate and timely basis

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (English, Journalism, Legal Studies, or similar) required
5-7 years professional work experience in similar role
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to meet deadlines with a strict attention to detail
Ability to communicate with a variety of people
Ability to work independently on multiple projects

Physical Requirements

Sitting at desk and conference tables for extended periods of time
Using computer
Occasionally traveling to meetings off site
